Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

WILLOW PUBLISHING (Willow) will consider for publication any material that is suitable for Catholic worship. This includes music for the assembly, cantor, choirs, and music for children and youth.

Willow makes the following assumptions of submitted material:

  • The material is original.
  • The material has not been simultaneously submitted to other publishers for publication.
  • Unless indicated otherwise, the material is not currently published or held under copyright. (Please name any additional writers or copyright owners directly on the scores.)

We require complete scores for submission. Lead sheets without keyboard accompaniment are insufficient.

Please do not send originals. A typeset copy based on our Publishing Guidelines Style Sheet is required to be uploaded to a Google Drive and shared to info@willowpublishing.com.au via a link. A basic or professional recording is also required.

(If you require professional typesetting or transcription services for your compositions, we can recommend reliable service providers.) Submissions are not accepted by mail

Please include your complete contact information, including:

  • Name of the composer
  • Phone
  • Email address
  • Social Media channels if applicable.

You will receive confirmation that we have received your submission only if an email address is provided.

The first review may take up to 90 days. You are free to withdraw your work from consideration at any time. If we are interested in your work, you will receive a letter of intent with details regarding copyright information and contracts.

If we do not proceed with a publishing offer, you will receive a notification via email.

Every submission is given individual attention; however, reviews and an explanation of our decision will not be provided.
