Willow Publishing is excited to announce our attendance at the upcoming Mystery and Mission Conference, presented jointly by the Australian Pastoral Musicians Network (APMN) & the National Liturgical Council (NLC) of the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference from September 28 – 30 at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane, Australia.

Our talented composers will be conducting workshops during the event, and we are proud to have a team of skilled singers presenting a Big Sing Lunch-time Concert on Saturday.

At Willow Publishing, we are committed to providing a diverse range of music that inspires and enriches the spiritual life of members of the faith community. We believe that music has the power to bring people together and create a sense of community, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to share our passion with the attendees of the Mystery and Mission Conference.

Keynote speakers will include Professor Timothy O’Malley and Catholic composer Sarah Hart from the United States and local theologians Fr Tom Elich and our Willow composer associate professor Sr Maeve Heaney.

Our composers look forward to sharing their knowledge and skills with conference attendees. They will be conducting a variety of workshops throughout the event, covering topics such as:

  • Celebrating the Liturgy Through the Psalms – Dr Paul Taylor Willow composer & Sophie Morley;
  • The Art of Creating Space for Young People – Gen Bryant;

  • and The Power of Music in Catechesis – Patricia Smith;

These workshops are designed to provide attendees with a hands-on learning experience to help them improve their skills, deepen their understanding, and support and inspire.

In addition to our workshops, we are delighted to have a team of talented singers and musicians who will be performing a Big Sing Lunch-time Concert on Saturday. This concert, sponsored by Willow Publishing and One License, is sure to be a highlight of the conference, with our music team presenting a variety of pieces that showcase various songs and hymns from our Willow catalogue. From well-loved hymns to new contemporary music, our concert will have something for everyone.
